Bo is an energetic, enthusiastic boy.
He can be extremely affectionate and doesn't realize how big he actually is -- he'll try to climb into your lap for kisses.
While it is difficult to guess with any accuracy about his breed mix, we believe it is possible he may have some Rottweiler blood (see photos).
He gets along well in his home full of foster dogs of all sizes, including another large dog (a Rottweiler mix); there are also a number of cats, who mostly prefer to give him his own space.
He would probably do best in a home without cats.
We don't know a great deal of detail about Bo's previous owner, but we do know that Bo was removed from the home by a third party.
While he seems mostly socialized to people and other dogs, because of the way his circumstances and living environment changed rather suddenly, he has shown some unpredictable behavior: when he is agitated or frightened, he sometimes
barks aggressively.
On a few occasions, he has made as if to nip at people reaching toward him, but this is mostly a gesture, and to our knowledge he has never actually bitten anyone.
Because of this unpredictable aspect, however, it is not recommended that he be adopted into a home with small children.
Bo is neutered, fully vaccinated, heartworm-tested (negative), and has been microchipped.
